Did some checking on Lazarus' website (last one in the topic doesn't work) and seems there are just a few W3G clubs out there.
Sounds like a cross between USPSA/IDPA & SASS.
Wonder how we could run two or more groups without berms between the lanes.
I'm getting excited about coming back and looking for ways to send lead downrange.

There lies the problem "burms" and burms requir extra land, and W3G requires a lot of footsteps by timer/shooter/and stage resetters.
Takes about 4 minutes per shooter if you hurry. Aint no counters the timer has the honor of calling all misses and any safety violations.
requires all shotgun to be knock down, pistol & rifle to be repaintable after each run and any bonus "one second off" to be clearly visable to all including spectators & fellow shooters.
Special targets are a must.
Find us a range that can do it and i'll help build the targets _________________ SASS #36183

DDD,
Figured it wa something like that.
I do remember reading about a USPSA club (actually IPSC one in Europe) that ran their normal shoot but dressed and 'heeled' as in the Old West.
They said it was fun but did take a long time per shooter.
Now if I just win the lottery we're in business...

Had a conversation with Joe Darter this weekend and the three gun may come about in time and yes it's a cross of CAS & IDPA or whatever with paper targets for pistol and rifle for the most part. Shotguns do use a knock down type target.
Seems there are two types of 3Gun one that's for money and one that's not. None the less the amount of work and workers required are still 4-5 per stage. A large area and berms are a must for more than one stage. Must be able to reset while shooters load there fore a deep berm area is best so loaders and unloaders are pointing weapons into the berm and not down range or at the next stage partisapants.
The main factor for all to remember this is a run and gun sport and may be a stain on some folks. Since it's a kinda cross of IDPA/CAS It takes a lot of time to reset/paste and a lot of foot steps on each stage.
Rail Boss has something going at his club/range towards this and mabe he'll get it up and running in a few months. _________________ SASS #36183
