in CAS: It all started in Dec 2000 at a gun show in

in CAS: I went with "Double Down Dan" to a shoot in March 2001, and
have been hooked since.
Most
Memorable Moment: It was my first big shoot and I had only been in CAS for 3
months when I ended up Mono-a-Mono with "Cowtown" in the Master
Gunfighter shoot-off. I was so scared and even though I lost to him, I will
never forget the support and the cheers of all the shooters standing behind us
as we finished our final volley. Yee-Haa!!!!
Double
Down Dan—Alias: I was taught my sums up to 21 by playing Black Jack with my
mother. A specific bet can be made in Black Jack where the player
"doubles" the original bet & takes only one hit hoping to beat the
dealer this is called a Double Down. Dan is short for my real name Daniel.
Most
Memorable Moment: It was my 1st big shoot and I was making many a trip to the
award stage. Over & over again, I had to be coached out of my seat & to
the stage. What an experience & I was told that if I didn't get every shot
of wife accepting ALL of HER AWARDS that night, I would be in deep stuff. Of
course you are aware that I LOAD HER AMMO.
Double
Down Dan's most Deep Dark Secret: I've been known to shoot faster than Tequila,
out bellow Roy & Gene, and successfully navigate my way through any
scenario...Ok, I know that is ALL BS, but if I told you the truth my doctor said
some of you would be frightened & wouldn't let me play with you any more.
Now we don't want that do we?
Cynthia
& Daniel Rogers reside in the Tomball/Magnolia area. Daniel is part owner,
VP, & Dir of Operations for "The Captain's Seafood & Oyster
Bar". Cynthia is the Lead Visual Manager for
BOTH of Cynthia & Daniels children, Nichole & Dan, are proudly protecting & serving our country in the US Military.

"Big John Wyatt" - My alias is a combination of "John Henry
Holiday" & "Wyatt Earp", because I am a huge "Wyatt Earp"

My
interest in CAS: I stumbled across CAS on the internet while I was looking for
"re-enactment clubs". After some research on the net, I decided I
would like CAS better; after searching a bit I knew this was what I wanted to do
so I shot my first match in June 2001 and haven't looked back since.
Most Memorable Moment: My 1st shoot really. I had only the "Green Rookie Supplies", ya know...one of each weapon, and "regular loads" for ammo. Well, of course there was a stage that require 4 pistols, so I needed to borrow. My posse pardners were gracious enough to let me borrow whatever was needed, including ammo. Now, there was a scenario that I will never forget at the same shoot...yep, the dreaded 12 shotgun shots. Well let's just say that I feeling that for about two weeks, as that I was shooting Heavy Dove Loads without a recoil pad. Dutch Dave soon jumped to my rescue with a little hint before the next monthly shoot...Yep....Featherlites!!! Thanks Dutch Dave!!
Hobbies: I have started collecting Pocket Pistols.

My
interest in CAS: My husband. When he told me he wanted to get into CAS, I
thought it was going to be "another hobby he wouldn't stay interested
in." Well guess what, he has and it's been downhill ever since. I started
shooting in November 2001 and like Big John, have looked forward to all the fun
and friends we have made in CAS.
Lazarus
& Lorelei Longshot
Alias:
Our aliases are a take-off of a Science Fiction character by Robert Heinline;
Lazarus Long and his sister, Lorelei. We just added the "shot" to
"Long" and there you have it..."

Memorable Moment - Lazarus Longshot: 1st Clean Stage...I can still remember
it. I must say that the people are what make the shooting more fun than
anything!!

Lazarus - GUNS, jeeping, photography, & computers. Lorelei - Skeet,
horseback riding, & non-competitive reading.
